Local partner and longtime brand fan signs to introduce the brand to Atlanta, Georgia
The city often referred to as “Hotlanta” is about to add another location for one of the hottest concepts in franchising Lennys Grill & Subs recently announced plans to add a new restaurant in the area, and Matt Butler is the franchisee spearheading the latest development.
Butler is planning to open his restaurant in the metro Atlanta market by the end of 2017. And his experience as a longtime customer of Lennys Grill & Subs motivated him to buy into the brand--a true testament to the fact that the customer experience is still king Originally from Greenville, South Carolina, Butler attended the University of Tennessee where he studied economics. He then took a job in the Memphis area at an office across the street from a Lennys Grill & Subs.
“Lennys became a regular spot for me. I had never really been a big fan of sub sandwiches from some of the big box names out there. But when I discovered Lennys, I found it was a much better quality sandwich and something I enjoyed a lot,” Butler said.
Butler built a career in residential real estate over the past eight years, however, upon relocating to the Atlanta area about one year ago, he was looking to take on a new business venture and decided a franchise would be the way to go.
“We talked to a number of people who have been involved with various franchises, and everyone gave the same advice: when you buy into a franchise, you are purchasing a proven business model and will have constant support from the franchisor,” Butler said.
Butler began looking into franchise concepts, but it was not long before he determined that Lennys Grill & Subs was the brand for him. He remembered his positive experience with the brand and was confident he could bring the same to his customers.
“I wanted to be involved with a brand whose product I believed in, and I do believe in Lennys. I believe they make a great sandwich with better quality ingredients than most of the competition,” Butler said. “My experience as a customer was convenient, fast and efficient. I believe these days fast food often times fails to be fast But my experience at Lennys was the opposite of this, and it was something I could believe in for my next business venture.”
Lennys Grill & Subs currently has four locations in the Atlanta area, but there is plenty of room to grow in the market. ”As a brand, we are working to grow in areas where we already have locations.
