Memphis Business Journal: Lenny's Subs looks toward the future with new design
Operational and visual changes are happening at Lenny’s Sub Shop.

Lenny’s Sub Shop, a Memphis-based veteran restaurant franchise, is headed for change. New President and COO, Jason Vaughn, formerly a Senior Director of Operations at Taco Bell and Division Vice President of Wendy’s International, is leading the charge to revitalize the brand.

"It's about creating the right culture," Vaughn told the Memphis Business Journal.

As part of the change, Vaughn and his team have renamed the home office “Lenny’s Restaurant Support Center” from “Lenny’s Corporate Office.”

Along with a new restaurant prototype, corporate changes and operational tweaks, Vaughn is also working to create a supportive franchise system for both existing and new franchisees.

"The franchisees don't work for us," said Vaughn. "We work for them, and it was important for us to signal that."

The new prototype for the Lenny’s of the future is set to debut this month at the franchise’s annual summit.
